Cyclists Unite or Disband!
After a couple of wonderfully fun rides with Justin (Steve-Wo and Brice were with us once) and Marti I'm wondering if I should continue with the organized rides. I know that the lateness of my announcements and the pressing workload has been a factor but if these rides are not something you all want me to spend my time on then I'll reallocate and adjust. I'm not whining or worrying so don't think that feelings are hurt or anything. The rides are a program tradition. Some traditions are not for everyone or every time. Maybe the subject matter of the rides are not the right content. I'm really OK with just giving up on these things and letting you all find your city under your own wheels.
I'm just looking for some commentary on whether these things are worth our time. So, who will go? Under what conditions? How much lead time? Where would you want to go?
Like I said, I'm good to do away with that stuff.

From the rides that I have been on they are fun and a valuable experience because Brian knows were the good and bad stuff is at. I would like to notified earlier than 2 hours before the ride to balance time wisely between these rides and class work. Ride on.
i want to go, but i'm always late to see the e-mail. being on bike and out and about leaves me without interweb.
i'd like to see the canals, ports, and harbors, don't know where to begin.

I have wanted to go on all of the rides, just havent been able to plan my time or work around them. More notice would be good. At least a day or so. I think we all would like to experience more in the city, we are just feeling a little swamped. But the rides all sound fun. Dont get rid of them.
yeah, the only reason that i havent gone on the rides is because i was doing my own ride or work, so yeah, more notice would be great.
I'd like to go on a ride or two - out to the island especially - but either I've gotten the notice after the ride took place or I've had way too much work to be able to go on a ride for few hours.
I'd really like to go out to place des nations with some peeps from our studio 2 class - I probably need more notice, though... maybe a few days?
Though, it does need to be time when studio and other work is light.
The rides sound great, but I find out about them too late. I want to be able to see more of the city, so I say keep the rides. It's just difficult to go and still finish all my work. At least a days notice would be perfect.
I would love to go on these rides. More excursions in and around the city would be great. I'm itching to go see whats left of Expo and anywhere else cool really. I feel like lately I haven't had as much time to just enjoy the city and what it has to offer as I would like.
I agree... I really want to go on the rides, I still want to go out to the island mostly, and as fun as experiencing the city on my own wheels, there are things that I just won't know about, so class rides would be great...
Like most have said a notice at least 12 hrs or so would be great.
